My Books
Arsenal for Everyone
My fourth Arsenal themed book. This is my first after the loss of my son and Arsenal soul mate. This book journey probably began as therapy but became so much more. My relationship with football and Arsenal had dramatically altered so I felt the need to explore and highlight the stories of fellow fans who, through no fault of their own found their own support for their team framed differently.
The result I hope is a fabulous, moving, revealing, amusing, and rewarding 200-hundred-page book, made so by the stories of the disabled Arsenal fans I met and interviewed. The heroes of the book, including ex Paralympic athletes, a well-known TV sports journalist and a Member of the British Empire, perhaps cannot see their team play beautiful football, hear the crowd roar, or jump for joy when Arsenal score, but their passion and commitment to following their chosen team is no less than that of the able-bodied fan who takes these things for granted.
What I had not appreciated was just how seriously my club, Arsenal and their wonderful staff take their own mantra of ‘Arsenal for Everyone’. This is not merely a slogan for the club, it is a complete belief that the institution they are proud to work for strives to be accessible and inclusive to all supporters, whatever their disability. Arsenal FC truly do go above and beyond in so many ways.
So, 2021/22 when all the Arsenal shirts will carry the mantra, I am proud and honoured to entitle the book, with the club’s wholehearted blessing – Arsenal for Everyone.

Arsene’s Double Double
In 2018 I published my third Arsenal inspired book in five years… although this unique offering is somewhat left of field compared to ‘Geordie Armstrong’ and ‘Supporting Arsenal is a Funny Old Game’.
Now that the dust has settled, after a somewhat divisive final few years, on the Wenger reign, I wanted to take Gunners back in time – to the scintillating early years of Le Prof’s tenure. However, I selected for my inspiration, not from the well-trodden path of the unbeaten Premier League campaign, but earlier, from the two seasons that gave Wenger his first four trophies and Arsenal’s second and third League and FA Cup Doubles.
This book takes Arsenal fans on evocative journey down Memory Lane – through the 1997/98 and 2001/02 League and FA Cup successes, with not a match or goal missed – however, it is the method he’s chosen to do so that is refreshingly different to any other football book you will have read. If you are a fan of Arsenal, Cat in the Hat, and less then Shakespearian rhyming couplets, you will not be disappointed!

Supporting Arsenal Is a Funny Old Game
Arsenal is a glamourous club – a global brand that has always attracted the rich and famous – British Royalty, Pop icons, Olympians and Hollywood stars have all rubbed shoulders at matches down the years. However, there is one breed of celebrity which Arsenal have lured in bizarrely high proportions… COMEDIANS!
My book features a vast array of Gooner Comedy Royalty, who I interviewed about the passion and support for Arsenal FC – from international super-star funny men Paul Kaye and Matt Lucas, the elder statesmen such as Clive Anderson, Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, through to the current sitcom, panel show and stand-up kings, including Alan Davies, Romesh Ranganathan, Hugh Dennis, Ian Stone, Dara O’Briain, Milton Jones, Tom Rosenthal and Alex Brooker… Plus Gary Marshall, Chris Martin and Jim Campbell.
Brace yourselves for a hugely enjoyable romp, with some belly laughs along the way ……

Geordie Armstrong On The Wing
George ‘Geordie’ Armstrong served Arsenal for 27 years as both a player and a coach, before being cruelly taken from his family and his club whilst coaching the Arsenal reserves at London Colney – he collapsed suddenly on the training pitch having suffered a brain haemorrhage in October 2000 – and never recovered. This is a special edition of my first book, published in 2014, which marked the 20th anniversary in 2020
I hope I managed to successfully paint a remarkable picture – reliving stories and recollections of those who loved him; those who were fortunate to call him their friend; those who played alongside him; those who watched him play week in week out and those who were coached by him. There are also dozens of previously unseen action shots and pictures from George’s family’s own personal photographic collection to enjoy.
